"MOH"

Who knew that a chick flick would cause so much of an uproar?  So today my friend at work invited me to go to the showing of Made of Honor.  I have only seen the preview once, but it looked like it could have pretty big potential to be pretty dumb.  But I decided that "McDreamy" might make this movie look good.  My friend won the tickets on the radio, but the thing about these "tickets" is that they aren't really tickets at all.   They are just "passes" which give you the right to a ticket.  That is, if you get in line behind 100 women and they happen to not be sold out within the first 45 minutes.  These tickets went on sale at 4 pm people!  They sold out within an hour!  I was still at work. I am not a big movie theater buff because I really don't pay much attention to what is out unless it's something like, Indiana Jones.  I figured, we've already made the drive here, why not just go to another movie?
So we see this group of ladies talking to the "guest services".  And we are directed to go over to them to give them our address since we didn't get a ticket to Made of Honor.  I guess they will offer free tickets to another showing for anyone that doesn't get a ticket to any of these special showings.  My friend and I walk over there, and there is a whole mess of angry, angry women.  Wow.  I now know never to get in between a girl and her Patrick Dempsey.  These women were yelling at the manager of the theater because they thought it was their right to have a ticket to this movie.  Mind you, these "tickets" were free.  I almost laughed out loud after hearing one of the women say, "Some of these ladies have gotten babysitters to come all the way out here to see this movie.  You guys gave too many passes away. Now what are we going to do?!"  I thought it better not to laugh.
I was just completely amazed that these women were so mad at the theater for something that they didn't have any control of.  I don't think these women realize that this happens at every preview.  (I've never been to one, but I heard it from my friend)  I was also pretty amazed that TV and movies can have such an effect on people.  What is this world coming to?  I guess I have been away from television and movie theaters for so long that I don't really care at all what's going on.  I'm not sure if I am describing this correctly.  I just don't give a shiz I guess would be the correct way.
Speaking of shiz on TV, I have television on my TV for the first time since I moved out of my parents right out of high school.  That's SEVEN years.  I started watching something, and I decided that I really hate TV.  I guess they call them "teasers", but really they are just "ruiners".  I don't want to know what is going to happen when I eventually watch the episode in 4 days.  I watch a couple of my favorite shows on the internet and I like it that way.  Well, I decided that I hate TV even more after seeing 1.7 minutes of The Bachelor.  Wow.  I hope no one I know really actually likes this show.  Somehow, we watched it, and hated it, but didn't turn it off.  So I saw that this guy openly sleeps with three women in three nights and tells them all the exact. same. thing. "I really have fun hanging out with you" and "I think I am falling for you".  I just think I was a little surprised at how far TV shows can go now.  I didn't think they would show a girl changing into lingerie on TV. It drives me nuts that I am so bothered with this show.
This has got to be the LONGEST blog in history so I am just going to end this rant right about now.  And unplug my TV.
